Kofi Nduro was born in 1964 in the Western Region of Ghana (West Africa).
He attended the GHANATTA College of Arts where he obtained part of his training. Due to financial constraints, he was forced to drop out in his 3rd year of arts school.In order to realize his dream of becoming artist, Kofi sold newspapers on the busy streets of Accra – Ghana enabling him to buy much need materials such as paints, brushes and books and he became an autodidact. Kofi emerged to become one of Ghana’s top selling artists. His works depict the grace and beauty of the African woman as well as the African people’s love for music, art, social gathering and tradition. The result is apparent in the vibrant movement of his themes on canvas or paper. Kofi’s lust for perfection can be detected in the combination of gentle brush strokes, tender knife and finger application onto raw canvas. Numerous art exhibitions have been hosted on his behalf in Africa, Europe and the United States.
His paintings are widely collected and can be found in prominent companies, institutions and private homes all over the world.
