Victor Odoi was born in Ghana in 1965 and studied Art at GHANATTA College of Arts in Accra – Ghana. He graduated with a diploma in painting and drawing.Odoi’s paintings fascinate the viewer with the use of different strokes and free flowing colours in oil on canvas.He is extremely gifted and has upheld his reputation as an artist, who captures dynamics and motions in his paintings.Victor Odoi’s first exhibition was in 1984, presenting works of pencil shading and water color.He has since mounted many successful exhibitions and earned local and international recognition.The Tropical Museum in Amsterdam (Netherlands) featured Odoi in a solo exhibition.Odoi’s paintings are seen in hotels, restaurants, government buildings as well as private homes.Odoi depicts every day life activities, reflecting in his market scenes, beach scenes, land- and seascapes. He admires strong women at work and this theme can be found in most of paintings.
